Day1: THE ANCIENT REGGIO CALABRIA: DUOMO CATHEDRAL, ARAGONESE CASTLE, CHURCH OF OTTIMATI

Arrival at the Airport, transfer to Hotel *** or B & B.
Refreshing welcome drink and free time to relax or to begin familiarizing yourself with the wonderful Mediterranean atmosphere in Calabria region.
You start exploring the jewel of Calabria: the town of Reggio Calabria.
Your first tour includes:
a visit to the ruins of Aragonese Castle, a medieval fortress with beautiful towers and imposing walls, Ottimati Church with its colorful stained glass windowsRomanesque cathedral.

Evening: walks and dinner with typical calabrian spicy dishes or with good seafood.
The restaurant "La Baita" is located almost on the beach.

Day 2: VILLA COMUNALE AND THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM,
BEACH PROMENADE
Wine tasting and local gastronomic products
During the second day we recommend you to visit Villa Comunale with its romantic garden where beside wonderful mediterranean plants you can also admire beautiful art works.
You continue then to the National Archaeological Museum where is collected regions entire thousand-year of history. You are going to find here many beautiful pieces of great historical and artistic importance.
You join after lunch a wine and local gastronomic products tasting in a wine cellar.

Day 3:
REGGIO CALABRIA – CAPO VATICANO 117 km by train
CAPO VATICANO – TROPEA 13 km of trekking or by bus (according to preferences)
Check-in at 3* Hotel or B&B and after a refreshing drink you start discovering the beauty of the “Coast of Gods” with its undoubted charm and its most beautiful pearl, Capo Vaticano.
Tropea, the noble lady on a circular cliff that plunges into a sea of undoubted beauty...is going also to be visited.
We also recommend a visit to the historic centres of these two pearls with their beautiful small streets and numerous squares. Piazza Hercules in Tropea, the heart of the bustling city, the norman Cathedral and the Sanctuary of Santa Maria dell’Isola…..are going to be of particular interest.

Evening: dinner with authentic flavors and a good glass of local wine.

Day 4: CAPO VATICANO – PIZZO 40 km by bus or trekking (according to preferences)

Today’s travel is going to be along the coast to visit another jewel of the Tyrrhenian Coast: Pizzo.
You are going to visit the old town and immerse yourself in narrow alleys, beautiful baroque churches, the massive castle and clear green Tyrrhenian Sea
water.
You will feel like being in paradise.
Ice creams tasting in an ancient gelateria is going to be in store for you next.
You continue your tour to Pizzo Marina, an old fishing village, built on a spur of rock, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.
You can visit here the old town and some of the most beautiful beaches.

Evening: return to Capo Vaticano and dinner

Day 5: CAPO VATICANO – NICOTERA 21 km by bus or trekking (according to preferences)
Wine tasting and local gastronomic products
During your 5th day we recommend an itinerary to Nicotera, a town overlooking Gioia Bay, at the foot of Monte Poro and protected by the austere castle and the medieval cathedral.
In addition to a tour of the historic center you can, on sky clear days, admire the blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the beautiful landscape of Sicily and the Aeolian Islands.
During the afternoon you can enjoy a wine tasting and local products in a local farm.

Evening: Return to Capo Vaticano by bus
