CAMPANIA
Located in southern Italy, the region stretches along the Tyrrhenian Sea and is a destination of intense tourism due to the pleasant climate, beauty, art, history, natural heritage as well as a internationally renown cuisine.
Starting with Naples, the regional capital (built in the middle of the Tyrrhenian coast and known worldwide for the intensity and passion of its music, history, culture and beautiful landscapes as well as for its food products and the hospitality of the local people) and continuing with other famous art cities such as: Paestum, Ercolani, Pompei, Amalfi, with their beautiful sea and wonderful colours, the rich coastline with bays, coves and cliffs, the islands of Capri and Ischia and the still active mysterious volcano, Vesuvius loved for its beauty ... the regione really deserves to be discovered!
The region is mostly flat but has also high peaks in the Apennines where can be found a lot of caves.
Campania is rich in Mediterranean vegetation and charming small towns, representative of the history and the ancient traditions that offer fascinating and unforgettable memories to those who visit it.

The three major islands of the region are: Capri surrounded by cliffs where marine erosion has created more than 65 caves, including the beautiful Grotta Azzura, Ischia, which is the largest island in the Gulf of Naples, green, full of vineyards and citrus orchards and famous for its thermal baths and Procida, the volcanic island with its high and steep coasts.
The different beneficial spas are another great attraction. Some good examples are: the Baths of Theodore, the Baths of Telese, the water sources of the Acqua Catena, Acqua Ferrata and Acqua Ferrarelle, Contursi Terme Spa and many others.
The typical gastronomic products of Campania are the classic symbols of Italy: pizza with mozzarella, tomato and basil, mozzarella di buffalo, smoked cheese, spaghetti, pasta, vegetables, seafood, San Marzano oval tomatoes, lemons of Amalfi, extra virgin olive oil as well as the delicious wines as for example: il Greco di Tufo, a dry white wine that goes perfectly with seafood dishes, Ischia, white delicately flavoured wine, Fiano di Avellino, a typical white wine for the “antipasti” or liquors like for example Nocino prepared with the famous Sorrento walnuts ....
