UMBRIA

Located in the heart of the "boot", Umbria is one of the smallest Italian regions. As predominantly mountainous, Umbria’s landlocked territory is a succession of mountains, hills and deep valleys.
Umbria includes
Lake Trasimeno with seaside resorts, interconnected by boats and Piediluco Lake surrounded by green hills while the main rivers of the Umbrian Valley are Tevere, Nera, Topino and Chirunno.These rivers are a popular destination for canoeing and kayaking lovers and other sports.

In Umbria there are many pearls worth to be visited:
Perugia that dominates the umbrian territory from the top of a hill. Its historical, cultural and art makes it a very popular destination for foreign tourists.
Assisi, built almost entirely on the stone of Subasio mountain.
Spoleto, famous tourist center renown for its artistic and cultural heritage.
Orvieto, perched on a volcanic cliff.
Foligno, famous for the ancient art of printing.

The umbrian cuisine is another major attraction: the
olive oil and the wines of Orvieto and not only… its delicious meat dishes of game, blacks truffles, good fish, Perugia chocolate and Pandoro from Terni as well as many other delicacies.

  • Lake Trasimeno: the fourth Italian lake with beautiful beach resorts interconnected by ferries. The lake has three lovely islands: isola Maggiore, isola Minore and isola Polvese
  • Piediluco Lake: surrounded by green hills the lake is a quiet resort where can be found a Canoe national school
  • Rivers: Tevere, Chiascio Velino, Nera,Topino, Chirunno
