"FULL IMMERSION" TASTING FOR LOVERS AND ASPIRING CONNOISSEURS OF GREAT ITALIAN WINES

The courses are conducted by professional sommeliers and instructors and give the chance to taste regional and Italian wines.

PROGRAM
MORNING
9.00: Welcoming of the participants in the technique saloon and beginning of the course.
Topics: morphological characteristics of the land, short ampelographic explanations of the vines, DOC wines (Denomination of Origin) and DOCG (Denomination of Controlled Origin) and other wines.
How to taste wines: theory and technique of wine tasting (visual inspection, olfactory and gustatory examination), correct terminology for the description of the wine, ideal temperature for serving wine and the most suitable glasses to enhance the organoleptic characteristics, technical theory on how to match food and wine (the most important rules to carry out the correct combinations at the table).
During the lesson you will be offered to participate and taste five different representative wines of the areas.
13.00: Lunch at a wine bar or local tavern tasting three wines in combination with typical dishes of the region. The food and the chosen wines will be presented by a Sommelier who will motivate the choice of combinations and evaluate their harmony .

AFTERNOON:
15.30 Visit to a winery with guided wine tasting by an oenologist or the owner of the company who will explain the various stages of production of three wines offered for tasting.
17.30 A second visit to a winery with guided wine tasting by an oenologist or the owner of the company who will explain the various stages of production of three wines offered for tasting.
19.30 End of the course.
