PRAIANO

Praiano is a small town on Amalfi coast which is visible from afar as the promoter is sheer and as if it wanted to reach the sun.
Here the sun stays up until late and you can admire the most beautiful sunsets with Capri’s Faraglioni in the background (three small rocky islets just off the shore, creating a spectacular visual effect).
The houses are spread along the hills and between them there are gardens with lemon trees, geraniums and bougainvillea climbing the walls. The emerald sea, which once was known for its large amount of corals, has a shimmering backdrop.
You can find peace and tranquillity on the sunny slopes of Praiano, although there are only 15 minutes by bus to Positano where you can find a lively nightlife.
If you want to visit Amalfi you can travel by car for about 20 minutes to the east along the beautiful coastline.
A small beach, called Marina di Praia, is nestled between two cliffs, about two miles east of Praiano.
You can also cross the hills of Praiano and follow the paths and steps, if you want to avoid the car way.
There is also a local bus that goes from Positano via Praiano to Praia.
In Praia there is a dive centre that offers courses to become a internationally certified diver and there are also some good restaurants and a centre for boat rental.
We recommend "Trattoria Da Armandino" that makes wonderful fish dishes and desserts.
There is another small beach near the church of San Gennaro, going down for about 400 stairs from the main road. Many people take the bus to Positano to swim in one of the two beautiful beaches.
Praiano has numerous restaurants, cafes and bars and shops ... and even important places as pharmacy, post office, laundry and internet shop.
