DETAILED TOUR PROGRAM

Day 1: HISTORICAL BOLOGNA
Arrival in Bologna and transfer to Hotel*** or B&B.
Refreshing welcome drink and free time to relax and begin to immerse yourself in the fantastic atmosphere of Bologna.After lunch with the best bolognese traditional food and wine to delight your palate you can start in your own rhythm the discovery of the old Bologna.We recommend you to visit Piazza Maggiore, the heart of the city with its medieval buildings, the romantic Palace of King Renzo, Palace of Podestà, Palace of the Notaries, Palace of Banchi, Square Nettuno, the Tower and the Basilica of San Petronio ….. you immerse yourself in charming atmosphere of Bologna ...
Evening: fine dining with bolognese gastronomy

Day 2: THE OLD TOWN, CITY HALL, SPICE MARKET, TOWERS OF ASINELLI & GARISENDA
Wine tasting and local gastronomic products
We recommend for today the historic center of Bologna with the visit to the Town Hall where can be admired the art works of the famous Tintoretto and Annibale Caracci. You can also visit Morandi Museum which houses works of the bolognese painter.
You continue then on via Indipendenza where can be found the Church of San Pietro, immersing yourself in a romantic atmosphere and beautiful shop windows.
In the afternoon after another gastronomic break in a typical Osteria bolognese you continue to the Herb Market in via Bassi enjoying the happy atmosphere.
We also recommend in this area Sfogline, the best shop in town of fresh pasta as well as the symbol of the city of Bologna, The Tower Asinelli and Garisenda.
You can climb to the top and admire the wonderful views over the city and the surrounding hills.
Then, according the schedule, you continue with the Palace of Merchandise, St. Stephen's Church and the Church of San Giovanni al Monte.
Evening: at "Osteria dei Poeti", inside an ancient building where you can eat local noodles or tortellini,croutons and crescentine together with a good glass of wine from the hills around Bologna.

Day 3: SALSOMAGGIORE SPA – BERZIERI BATHING ESTABLISHMENT
Wellness, Relax and Spa treatments.
Salsomaggiore Terme is one of the largest italian spa, famous for its waters, the richest in minerals ever known in the nature.Enjoy a day full of wellbeing, relaxation and spa treatments at Spa Lorenzo Berzieri, part of Salsomaggiore Terme.

The thermal waters of Salsomaggiore are rich with minerals dating back millions of years ago.
During many centuries they were used by both celts and romans to extract the precious salt.
These hot springs contain a high percentage of sodium chloride, iodine and bromine, but also many other factors that significantly expand the therapeutic effects.The presence of iron salts, which oxidize on contact with the air give the waters a typical reddish color.From the ancient sea water, Terme di Salsomaggiore obtained as a concentration, an exclusive product: the brine, a spa water which is mainly used for inhalation treatments, nasal and vaginal irrigations due to a sharp reduction in the chloride sodium.From the same wells as the thermal waters, is being extracted the sludge, a product rich in minerals and mixed with area’s clay and left to mature for two years in the thermal waters and then used for therapeutic applications.
