Discover Italy Now organizes cooking classes in typical restaurants on the hills above Rapallo and Portofino.

The chef will welcome you in his kitchen and will introduce you to the most typical Ligurian recipes: genovese focaccia, vegetable pies, the famous pesto sauce, soups and homemade pasta.
During the morning, you will visit the local markets and the restaurant gardens to learn how to recognize, and if necessary, to collect aromatic herbs.

As soon as the bread and focaccia are baked in the oven, you will start to prepare some recipes - sipping a glass of chilled wine in the meantime. An original "brunch" will follow in the kitchen.

The afternoon will be spent with a local tour guide and you will visit the old town of a seaside resort in Gulf of Tiguglio: Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Rapallo e Portovenere..all famous for the production of olive oil, jams, honey and fish products such as anchovies and lots of good wines .... as well as for the beauty of the nature.

You will also visit a small oil mill where you will be introduced to the techniques of processing and production of olives and olive oil, followed by local food tasting.

For dinner, the participants return to the restaurant where the cooking class was held and eat the dishes prepared that morning.
