VENETO
Veneto is one of the most beautiful regions of northern Italy.
It extends from the imposing Dolomite mountains to the Adriatic Sea, crossing areas of high and medium mountains (Dolomite, Venetian Pre-Alps), a large hill area (Euganei Hills), a vast plain territory with lakes and rivers and a vast coastal area (Venice Lagoon, Delta Po).
The lagoons are the most typical Venetian landscape and in fact right on the lagoon lies a unique city, Venice that is visited every year by thousands of Italian and foreign tourists.
Venice is built on an archipelago of 118 islands of varying sizes with a dense network of canals and about 400 ports interconnecting the various islands.
The "Canal Grande" is the main channel of Venice and is the "road" to be crossed by gondola or by boat to admire the long series of ‘400 and '500 century palaces which together form the so called "most beautiful avenue in the world ".
Other attractions in Venice are Ponte di Rialto, Piazza San Marco, Fenice Theatre, the Clock Tower and many other wonders that certainly deserve to be visited.
In addition to the archipelago on which Venice stands, there are many smaller islands that dot the lagoon. ... San Michele Island, Murano Island with its many glass laboratories, Burano which houses the famous lace school, Torcello, San Francesco del Deserto ... are just some examples of the charm of Veneto.
