Discovery Italy

Vernazza is a town free of traffic as most of the villages of Cinque Terre.
There is a small sandy beach in the harbor, otherwise the rocks and the deep sea are those that dominate in Vernazza. You can also swim in the harbor (there is a staircase available).
Down the harbor there is a lovely square with outdoor cafe/bars and on the pedestrian street there are shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, pizzerias and take-away restaurants, etc..
The entire village has an artistic touch. July 20th is the town feast with fireworks (Santa Margherita).
The best place where to eat in the square is, in our opinion, “Taverna del Capitano”.
The car is not necessary for a holiday in Cinque Terre. Trains and boats are more comfortable.
It only takes a few minutes by train between the villages.

FONTANAVECCHIA IN VERNAZZA

The owner, Anna Maria Merengoni, rents 4 well-kept rooms and 1 apartment in the charming and friendly village Vernazza.
The house is situated in a quiet area with a creek nearby. It takes a few minutes walk to the harbor.
Breakfast is not included, but in front of the apartment there is a bakery-bar serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Anna Maria has received the National Park Cinque Terre tourist award for accommodations that use environmentally friendly products, such as low energy light bulbs.

Apartment

The apartment is newly built and located in the basement. However, the view is still beautiful (see photo).
The apartment is furnished with modern decor. In the first room there is a kitchen with dining table, microwave and refrigerator. The walls of the bathroom are made of frosted glass and is designed with quality materials.
At the entrance to the bedroom, there is a small salon. The bedroom has wooden floors and a double bed (not divisible).

Rooms for Rent

4 beautiful double bedrooms, 3 with private bathroom and the 4th bedroom has its own modern bathroom just outside the room. In the room with the bathroom outside, you can set a third bed. The double beds are divisible.
In the first room with a bathroom, the bed is divided, but there is no room for third bed. In the second room with a bathroom, the bed is divided and a third bed can be prepared upon request. In the third room with bathroom, the bed is not divisible, but there is room for a bed!
