Discover Italy Now organizes art and handicraft journeys for those looking for a holiday dedicated to their favorite hobby to pursue and deepen their expertise and knowledge together with our partner teachers.
Highly involving learning experiences that give the opportunity to participate in different workshops and practical art demonstrations of selected artists and craftsmen.
The materials will be provided, and the finished artwork can be kept by the participants.

SOME OF OUR ART COURSES

PAINTING with a professional painter and experienced teacher to learn how to appreciate the essence and the sense of Mediterranean colours. Perspective and angles, theory of shadows, application of perspective techniques to landscapes and representation of objects will be protagonists of involving painting journeys in open-air environment and in studios. End up your special day with superb wine tasting in the most reputable wine cellars.

FRESCO TECHNIQUES: a full imersion experience in one of the oldest painting methods that only with Giotto emerged and finally won a universally recognized storical and artistical importance. This is a full immersion course
that will reveal the main fresco methods, including exploration of materials and the various stages of the process.

ART ANTIQUES AND FURNITURE RESTORATION: a fascinating journey into the world of antique techniques and technology: analysis of different types of wood, study of techniques and materials processing, carpentry and basic elements of reconstruction of missing parts. Addditionally: evaluating criteria of a piece of antique, styles and periods.

STYLE AND DESIGN OF ITALIAN JEWELRY AND GEMS: modern design technique throughout all the various creative phases: design and projects, study of trends, realization of a jewel, estimation criteria, jewellery history.

FLORAL ART COURSE: an exciting experience in floral design where you will learn to create different styles of floral arrangements suitable for many occasions: these include table centrepieces, basket arrangements, modern designs, traditional arrangements, bridal bouquets and wedding floral design.

SCULPTURE: a journey to learn the arts and secrets of marble sculpting, taught by italian and international experts and sculptors who lived and worked in Carrara for years and are specialists in the various processes of marble and stone.

CERAMIC WORKSHOP: become familiar with clay and glaze technologies... a wide range of opportunities to explore and work with ceramic: innovative figurative and sculptural techniques to finely made domestic vessels.
