SICILIAN COOKING TOUR

An authentic sicilian culinary and gourmet experience starting in Palermo and continuing to Marsala, Corleone, Ragusa and Modica.
You will taste Sicily´s best ingredients and recipes that create superb dishes
.



Day 1: Palermo Airport / Castelbuono (D) *
Arrival at Palermo airport and transfer to Castelbuono, a medieval town in the mountains of Madonie, near Cefalu. Welcome drink. Overnight and dinner at Hotel 4 *.

Day 2:
Castelbuono / Cefalů / Castelbuono (B / L) *
Breakfast at the hotel. You visit Cefalu, a charming fishing town with its norman cathedral.
Return to Castelbuono.
Sicilian cooking lesson followed by lunch. In the afternoon we visit a local Panettone production, followed by a walk through Castelbuono. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3:
Castelbuono / Monreale / Corleone / Castelvetrano (B / D)
After breakfast departure to Monreale and visit the cathedral. Lunch on your own.
The program continues to Corleone where you visit a dairy and cheese farm.
Dinner and overnight at hotel 4 * in Castelvetrano.

Day 4: Castelvetrano / Mazara del Vallo / Castelvetrano (B / L / D)
Breakfast at the hotel. The day will include a visit at a local bakery to taste the famous Belice Valley bread.
The program also includes a visit to a local olive oil production (the oil of Nocellara).
The tour proceeds to Mazara del Vallo to visit a pasta factory.
Hands on cooking class at a local farm followed by dinner. Overnight in Castelvetrano.

Day 5: Castelvetrano / Erice / Marsala / Selinunte / Castelvetrano (B / D)
Departure to Erice to visit the medieval town. You then visit a bakery to taste the marzipan and almond pastry.
Visit of a winery in Marsala to taste table and dessert wines.
Dinner in front of the beach of Selinunte with grilled fish. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 6:
Castelvetrano / Agrigento / Ragusa (B / L / D)
Breakfast at hotel. Free time. Departure to Agrigento during the late morning and stop along the way for a short practical cooking lesson based on local sicilian recipes followed by lunch.
Panoramic visit of the temples and walk in the city center.
Transfer to Ragusa.
Accommodation and light dinner. Overnight in 4 * Hotel in Ragusa.

Day 7:
Ragusa / Modica (B / L / D)
Breakfast at the hotel. This day will be dedicated to admire the baroque sites of Ibla and Modica.
We recommend you to taste here caciocavallo cheese, chocolate and bisquits and cannoli.
Short cooking lesson with a demonstration and preparation of seafood on the coast, followed by lunch.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 8:
Ragusa / Catania Airport (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
End of the program with transfer to the airport or extend your trip and continue with our special program "Taormina´s cuisine and tastes".
